The Abysmal Water. Sincerity amidst repeated danger. Tempering the soul in the depths and finding the flow within the shadows.
In-Depth Guidance for Hexagram 29 – The Abysmal
Check if the core connection remains intact; if even the core is gone, remember that letting go allows you to flow toward better places.
Don't fight obstacles head-on; find path of least resistance to break through. In tough times, big moves aren't key—continuous, flexible progress, even an inch at a time, will carry you through.
Aim for a small bit of progress, handle the most urgent payment first, and stabilize your monthly cash flow. The first line warns that digging frantically while in the pit only takes you deeper; the last thing to do now is borrow more to try to win it back.
The judgment speaks of sincerity: keeping your word and your credit is the rope that pulls you out.
Don't let members feel isolated; facing hardship together is far better than suffering alone. True family cohesion is tested and built in the hardest times.
Talk to someone you trust. If poor sleep or low mood lasts more than two weeks, please see a doctor or a counselor. That is taking care of yourself, not weakness.
Be like water: flow around what you can't push, wait if you can't flow around, and seep through if you must wait. The patience, judgment, and resilience you build now will be your greatest assets.
